We Have
Joe McDonald from Roane General Hospital correctly answered our Linksys by Cisco Transformer Challenge, identifying the location of the router before it transformed into a Decepticon. The correct answer was - In the Kitchen, on the wall. Take this month's Wild Whitewater Challenge and YOU could be our next prize winner!

CONGRATULATIONS TRAVIS!!
ATS is Celebrating and we want YOU to Join Us!
ATS is celebrating our 10th Anniversary, and we want you and your family to celebrate with us! REGISTER NOW to join us Friday, August 21st, 6:00 pm @ Appalachian Power Park. We're taking over the Landshark Lagoon to watch the game, enjoy some ballpark style eats and drink, then take in the fireworks to wrap up the evening. Kids under 12 can burn extra energy at the park's "Fun Zone".
Wild & Wonderful Weekend
Fun was had by all when we had our most recent company outing to New & Gauley River Adventures in Wild & Wonderful Lansing, WV. From the E-A-R-L-Y morning meeting at ATS, to plunging into the first rapids, to the 25’ ‘Jumpers Rock’, there was not a quiet moment. So next time you’re talking with one of the techs that went on the trip, ask them about the experience. They may even share one of their memorable moments with you…rumor has it, a rather large river spider tried to steal one of the rafter’s watches, but suffered the consequences. Another adventure-seeker claims to have gotten shoved overboard twice…however, the guilty party was never ousted. And lastly, even the guide staff was not safe from the mayhem, as a bet was placed and Brian Sims capitalized, at the misfortune of the guide who was left swimming back to his boat.
Take the Wild Whitewater Challenge!
(and maybe win a nifty prize) No, we're not asking you to throw caution to the wind, don a helmet & life jacket, and take to the rapids! This is MUCH easier....just sit back, WATCH THE ATS WHITEWATER video clip, and count how many times you see someone from ATS flash you the "hang loose" hand signal. Easy, right? Submit your guess and enter to win a cool techy tool kit from Fluke Networks and a Mr. Jones' TENGU. Deadline to submit your entry is Friday, August 28th. Winner (selected by random drawing from all correct entries) will be notified by email and announced in next month's newsletter. |

ATS' own Travis Cassell recently became a member of an elite group of Cisco Certified Experts. On July 29th Travis traveled down to Research Triangle Park, located in the Raleigh/Durham area of North Carolina, to take the final lab section of the two-part certification process to become a Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE ™), the highest level of professional certification that Cisco provides. When he called back to ATS to share his news that he'd passed the exam, there was a flurry of tangible excitement electrifying the entire office. All of us here at ATS are so very proud of Travis' accomplishment. He joins the ranks of only 1039 CCIE ™ Voice Experts worldwide! Fewer than 3% of Cisco certified individual attain this level of certification. Cisco refers to the CCIE as the "most respected IT certification", and from 2002 to 2005 it was voted as such in CertCities magazine. It has also been voted the most technically advanced IT certification by CertMag.
